Room 13 Mallaig have learned to make these fantastic bags made from used plastic. The technique was picked up by their artist in residence who spent some time working with Room 13 Shikshayatan last year. This is an excellent example of studios sharing techniques across the globe to make some products that they can either exhibit or sell, once the
Mallaig artists have mastered the technique there might be some available to buy right here on the Room13 International website.

Room 13 studios in London and the South of England will gather today for a trading fair. The event, which is being hosted by Blackrock at their offices in Drapers Gardens, London, will give young artists and studio managers in this region a chance to network, show their work and sell their own unique products.
Room 13 will be presenting at the Emporium of Dangerous Ideas, in Edinburgh’s Merchant’s Hall. Our dangerous idea comes from the present generation of artists at Room 13 Caol, and is simply that everyone should have a Room 13! We imagine a whole world of people who are prepared to think and act for themselves, as the movement of young artists that we recognise as Room 13 spreads around the world.
A youth team from Scotland visited Nepal in October 2011. The team travelled overland through Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan to conduct arts & creativity training workshops with the Nepali youths responsible for new and developing studios.
