Room 13 Caol Retrospective
Room 13 Caol presents a retrospective spanning nearly 2 decades. This exhibition at Caol Youth Centre features a selection of artwork produced in Room 13 Caol from its earliest days right up to the present. The earliest works on show are photographic pieces attributed to Caol Camera Club, whilst the most recent were brought into existance only in recent weeks.
Respect Me Exhibition
‘Respect Me’ art project and exhibtion, at Caol Youth Centre was organised by young people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. They worked with support from youth workers and Room 13 artists to make artwork on an anti-bullying theme. As a group, the young artists produced a wide range of creative responses from photography and scultpture to poerty and performance, resulting in an emotive and thought provolking body of work.
To complete the project they presented their work to the community and ran exhibition tours and workshops for local primary school pupils.
Children on Water
Room 13 studios were invited to contribute to ‘Our Children on Water’ exhibition organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Among those whose work was selected by RSC for exhibition were artists from Room 13 Aragon, Room 13 Tomintoul, Room 13 St Martin de Porres, and Room 13 Kwacutshwayo.

Fort William Underpass Artwork
Room 13 International was commissioned to lead a series of workshops and open studio sessions as part of a community art project involving many local people of every generation. The result was a unique piece of public art reflecting the best of what Fort William has to offer – our history and culture, music, sport and the splendour of the local landscape.
The redevelopment of Fort William Underpass was one element of the ‘Routes West’ regeneration scheme funded by The Scottish Government Town Centre Regeneration Fund, The Highland Council, Highland & Islands Enterprise and LEADER+.
Ubuntu
Ubuntu is a creative and ambitious fundraising enterprise organised by photographer Emmanuel Andre and film producer Stephanie Wang. These two professionals worked with the South African Room 13 studios to produce an exhibition, book and documentary film. Afterwards, the Ubuntu exhibition travelled the world, promoting Room 13 and generating a tidal wave of enthusiasm and support for Room 13 International.

Room 13 exhibition in Dunkers Kulturhus, Helsingborg, Sweden, featuring work by young artists from the UK, India and South Africa.
Exhibition at National Galleries of Scotland
A group of young Artists from Room 13 Lochyside took part in a short residency at the National Galleries of Scotland in June 2008. They returned to their own studio to share the inspiration they had collected, and together with their peers and colleagues around the world, spent 6 months developing work inspired by the work in the collection.
The resulting exhibition of artwork inspired by the National Galleries of Scotland, featuring work from Room 13 Lochyside and Room 13 International Studio Network, was displayed at the National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh, from 25th March to 29th April 2009.

Mongol Rally
Room 13 Aragon made a big impression with their first commission. In 2007, a group of young artists from the studio painted a car, which went on to compete in the Mongol Rally.
